How much time is being given to do a Monster Game?

Darksan, that you Skip?
I'm not sure the length of time matters as such. The competition will have an end date and as long as the the gamebox is submitted on time then fine.
Mind you, 10 days to do any game box is PDQ by any standards - I'm lucky to get one out in 10 months!

Isn't "Hell's Highway" (VG) a one-map game? SPI's "Highway to the Reich" was known as the "Bowling Alley" if you wanna tackle that one... F2

We need to define this one. How does (3) 22"x34" maps sound? or 1.4 sq meters? Counter limit seems to follow map size; I don't know of any 2 or 1 map games with 2000 counters. It'll have to be decided soon, though. F2

Can I take part with my World in Flames FE gamebox? I'm planning to add this year the America in Flames maps and counters.

ADG has not yet replied to the request for permission to use their titles, but if you can get permission from them, your Gamebox is in. Fritz

Isn't discussion of physical map size rather irrelevant with regards to the use of software that shows up on a 15"-21" screen?

Viewing enough on the screen is an issue with some monster games. Getting the "big" picture in some monster games means smaller hexes - less attractive ones - and smaller units, also plainer. Not all, but a few have 2000+ unique units - 2000 unit ID's is alot of work! I suppose the judges will have to grade on effort here. F2

Would it be a good idea to clear our proposed CB projects with the publisher first before working on them, or will they be viewed regardless?

Yes, Eb, we'll all get permission first. See the "Traffic Lights" in Terms and Conditions at main site to know who's already given the nod, who's declined permission, and who's yet to answer. We'll try to obtain it for you, but if they don't answer their email.... F2
