Well, I have gotten a LOT done over the past few weeks. A new website, and FINALLY gotten the printing situation straightened out.
As for CB, and the CBDO. George Sauer is highlighting DTP games at the CABS War Room at Origins this year and I'll be supplying him with a mounted, ready to play copy of each of our games as well as taking a few myself for playtesting and such.
As I haven't been able to frequent the board as much as I'd like, I (read we) would still like to offer a copy of any of our current games as a prize for the best GB on the titles we have put up for in the contest.
We don't have all the bells and whistles that the BIG BOYS like GMT and such have but our games are doing quite well sales wise and with our new releases coming out this Spring and Summer, I think there's even more opportunity for more action for us if we support the CBDO well.
When our new releases come out, I would be more than willing to add them to the design competition list. Right now we'll have Deguello at Dawn (an area movement Alamo game) with over 350 counters. We have a few other (5 games) in development and another should be coming out before Origins besides the Deguello at Dawn game.
Maybe a copy of a game signed by Dennis Bishop, the designer would be nice. Maybe I will actually mount the board for 'em...heck I don't know. I do want to do someting special.

Awhile back I saw a game in a mailing tube; a rolled map has no creases. Is this not viable for KPG? It would be special. I think I'd take it straight to the matte-finish laminator at wife's work, too... F2

Randy/Fritz
I think it would really help CBDO if we could start talking about specific prizes on the site. Don't know if the two of you can get your heads together on that re: the KPG categories.
I'm hoping to sponsor a M2M for Picket's Charge (Yaq) just need to talk to the designer and/or publisher. I'll be offering the S&T Tsushima (U/P). Not much admittedly but at least it'll be there.
Randy, I don't know whether you want to make some art work for new games available in advance to allow CBDO to generate gameboxes that can be ready for the launch of the product (just an idea).
And of course, thanks for the continued interest and support - glad to hear sales are good.

PRIZES?? Of course there'll be prizes!! I'm putting up my copy of SPI's "War in the Pacific" - 7 map monster - to the Overall winner unless a publisher tops the deal. 3rd place finishers will get at least a year's sub to Consimworld, and publisher awards have been copies of recent publications, ie new games. Andy Loakes will be working with his daughter on the page where you'll vicariously ascend the podium and for a year be the ones with the laurels. This is the real reward - bragging rights. I've been snagging deals on games at marketplace for rewards - don't worry, you'll get something, but I'm still hoping our supporters will donate a game or two that's NEW, rather than a players copy of a now defunct company. I know there will be prizes and I realise that the main prize is already announced - just suggesting that if there will be 'several' category prizes then having these specified info on the site may just build the interest more. And for the publishers this information will no doubt attract interest towards those categories where they wish to see it - their own.

Fritz and Andy, I would be willing to give a prize...1 copy of every game we have for the best CB version of any of the games that are listed as available from us. Of course, this 1 copy would include a copy of all new releases for 2005, of which there should be 5 games.
Is this a good enough prize?

I never really fiddled with CB until I played Randy Lein/s Ataturk! and I loved it. To be honest, I was a little unsure if CB was the way to go but now understand that it's a tool more than anything else to play a game. At least we/I'll step up to the table and make that offer.
