Dear all, I've just looked at submitting the site to Google. They do not allow submissions with 'under construction pages'. A lot of our pages are currently in this state, but the most obvious ones are the Foreign Language place holder pages. My intention is to remove these in the next day or two and not to return them until either: - We have content (as per the current German page)
- Google has successfully picked up the site
This is entirely a means to an end. Please read nothing more in to it and plase don't take offence. Thanks Andy PS - Fritz, I will also be removing the "More details will be provided shortly" statements.

You can replace the link to the "under construction" page with an empty link and an acronym tag, like this :
<a href="*"><acronym title="under construction">menu_item</acronym></a>
I don't know if this passes google's criteria though.
This is standard html, if your menu is javascript, you need a different solution.

Thanks Christopher. Fritz and I have decided to hang fire on the Google registration for the timebeing. Once the other language sites are done, then we'll revisit.

Manuel and Tomas: if you can't do the translations or don't want to anymore, just say so and we'll find others. Anyone else who'd like to see the site translated into his language, let me know, particularly if you'd like to translate. We will accept any language; finding translators may take some time, though. Thanks, Fritz
