I'm trying to setup a gameboard for "Bonaparte at Marengo" but it has an odd setup feature I don't know how to solve.
The French have 12 units that must be set up on the board at the start, but neither the French nor the Austrian player may know what units those are. After the game starts, of course, the French may player may now examine his units.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thanks.

I'd place markers for the unknowns and when the time to reveal them comes, use a random or blind draw from a piece group of the 12 units. F2

You could also have a gamemaster perform that function.
